I Wish I Said That....

When I was growing up, a kind euphemism for getting pregnant outside of marriage was to say that the young woman "got in trouble." While there is no doubt that a crisis pregnancy may be a source of trouble, it can also be a time of great blessing if the mother-to-be comes face-to-face with the reality of forgiveness in Christ, the responsibility for one's own actions, and the resulting blessing of a new life.

The question with trouble is that it is not a matter of IF it is going to come. It's a matter of WHEN. Job said it best. "Man is born to trouble as the sparks fly upward" (Job 5:7).
However, we have God's promise that whatever the source of our trouble, He will be with us if we love Him and desire to serve and please Him. Inside the dark cloud of troubles, there may be a silver lining of daily grace that is shown to the person having the trouble. This occurs as those of us who love them in Christ's stead help them realize biblical relational truth. The flipside of troubles may well be an opportunity for the gospel and a relationship that lasts through all eternity.
